The Book/Reader's thread

So...read any good books lately? ;D

I'm an avid reader, and I was just wondering if any League members were familiar with the works of Jim Butcher (The Dresden Files, Codex Alera)?

Not familiar with that author.  Will have to check him out.  I am currently reading through David Weber's "Honorverse" series of naval sci-fi.

I've heard from people who had early access that the new TOR book "Deceived" is prety good. I should be getting that when it officially releases tomorrow.

You know, I'd forgotten about that...

Gonna read it as soon as I get it, all in one sitting.

I recommend Under the Dome by Stephen King. It's a great book. I also recommend the Star Wars Darth Bane series. Great books as well

JEALOUS!!!  I'd love to work at a book store, in any sort of capacity.  Unfortunately, the only bookstore around here is a ma-and-pa place that hasn't hired in years due to being right next to f**ing Wal-Mart.

I just read through A Tale of Two Cities, it's a very dense read, but I really liked it. Sad ending though but it keeps you guessing. Dickens was a crazy writer, I've read several of his creations.

Always liked Tale of Two Cities, better than any of his other works anyway (INCLUDING Christmas Carol).

If anyones keen for an amazing fantasy read, i recommend the Sword of Truth series, my little brother got me into it and I can't put it down. Its a really long series too, so the story gets really very fleshed out :).
