Greves and I just ran it when I was showing him his checkpoint. Everything went smoothly. The lift needs to be about 5 meters off the ground for you to be able to jump to the lift, then to the ground safely (but you loose about 80% of your health). If you go too fast, you will fall straight to the ground and die. If you go too slow, other people will overtake you. You have to go with medium speed when the lift is a little off the ground, that way you will fall to the lift first, then the ground while staying alive.

There is skill involved. Knowing when to jump will make all the difference.

Oh I should mention that while Zoro has no real experience with races; I, on the other hand, know a great deal and have had family in the business do it before (expensive hobby they could never convince me to do lol). So any help needed just let me know.

and something I just realized. Should we ask that they flag themselves for pvp? to make things more interesting?

I was considering that. But they cant attack each other because they are in the same guild (And faction), and no imps on Coruscant. So no real gain. But we probably will when on end game planets with plenty if imps.

If I am mistaken in these assumptions, tell me.

ps Zoro, I need to see you in game soon so I can show you your checkpoint. If I cant see you, i will probably just tell you on the map here.

For the keepers, please show up half an hour earlier, like 7 pm est instead of 7 30. just so we put the final touches on everything.

If anyone has fraps or anyother screen recording program, please contact me.

Ok. I'll be on sporadically Friday Ceid. So maybe you can catch me before it starts. Or Maybe I'll catch you on sometime tonight.

We may request some cabal help on the end game planets to run "interference" possibly. But that discussion can wait until much later.

Well,  the race went faster than I thought.  I thought I would throw in a few observations.  I eventually figured out that I could watch the group progress along the track as we were all in one ops group.  This helped in knowing when to anticipate the group.  Easy to get a visual on the large scrum of racers once they get close.  Difficult to call out first/second/third if the pack is tight as the names overlay each other, and the checkpoint keepers haven't yet associated names and vehicles one the first pass.

Other than that, it was fun to watch....

Indeed, Same observations. This was a good test run to the upcoming races.

Maybe screen shots on the check points would help in telling who the people in the lead are. But then again, if the names are over lapping, that is useless. Perhaps next time, we will ask all the racers to turn off their legacy names and titles, that way it will make their name more distinguishable.

I tried a couple of screenshots, but they did not end up in the folder I expect them to be in.  If I find them I will share, otherwise, I will be figuring out why they didn't take.  I was talking with Ghan about the name plates.  If they turn them off then the judges would have to know which riders are on which mounts.  And then remember that when the gaggle passes the checkpoint.  Of course, if some rider would CLEARLY pull out in front of the pack it would make it easier on the judges (;->)

This is a tentative course for the tatooine race. Not quite as pretty as the map Ceid made for the last race, but I think it will work.

I'm glad we have an artistic-capable leader in the RP guild!  It means no one has to rely on my poor talents in that area!
